Korean Ice Cream Adventure

I have been craving for something cold for the past week as I have been transferred to a mid-shift schedule at work. I should be at work at 3:00 pm. With this time of the day, I am already exhausted with the travel from home to the office. I was looking for something sweet, cold and of course yummy for my tummy like Halo-Halo or maybe Ice Cream. Me and my colleague, Charlie, decided to go down at the grocery department of Market Market to get something we could munch on before our shift starts. Then I saw one of their freezer labeled with "KOREAN ICE CREAM." I was drawn to it right away. I have been seeing these stuff all over and I tried it once before (Strawberry Yogurt Bar). But this time, there are so many varieties to choose from, I can't even decide...

I got the Nougat Bar and Charlie ended up with the Kimy Ice Drop. I was like thinking "how corny... Let's try to be adventurous this time and be different. There were a lot of cold yummy stuffs in front of us and we don't have any idea what it has inside (all were written in Korean Language of course!).

The next day, Charlie was also now into this Melona Ice Cream I was talking about for days. She said that there's this one store, near our office who sells that and other Korean Ice Cream too. I said right away, "Let's go!," and there we were.We don't have to go downstairs and line up at the grocery anymore. She is now my official Ice Cream Buddy!

We both got the Melona Ice Cream. It has 3 different flavors, Honey Dew, Strawberry, Banana and Mango. But we settled with the Honey Dew, we want to keep it safe first. It was so creamy!! I thought it was just like an ice drop kind of thing but it was really an ice cream on a stick. I find it so melony that I was looking for real strands of honey dew on it.

Before my shift ends, here comes my boyfriend who was on a night shift schedule, 9:00 pm. Good thing he and my other friend Mahwee was early at work. I invited them to try these nearby Korean Ice Cream Store and this time we got different flavors. Me and Mahwee got the Fish Ice Cream (that's what we call it since we still do not know how to read Korean) and my hubby got the Encho (Chocolate covered Vanilla Ice Cream with a Chocolate Fudge Center - that is how he described it). Everything was pure awesome!! The Fish one had a wafer shell with a super duper creamy vanilla ice cream and red azuki bean stuffing. We enjoyed everything but for Mahwee, she hated the beans.

Now, everytime my shift would start, I would get one bar of those Korean Ice Cream. Actually, right now, at this very moment, I got to try Melona in Strawberry Flavor and still, it was heaven! Who ever invented them or brought them here in the Philippines, a big THANK YOU!

Starting this thing...

This is the first time I am gonna start to blog. I want people to see what I love to do most (which is cooking and eating) and share my experiences. I am a Nutritionist-Dietitian / Call Center Agent who loves to eat and try out new things that would suffice my daily cravings.  Mixing and matching flavors so I can create something that people would love is what I consider my hobby. I want to keep track of what every food experiment I have concocted and share them to people with the same interest as mine. There was a time where I was on the point of giving up this Cooking-Baking hobby but with the support of my  hubby and friends, it all went well again.

I searched the internet for Blog Sites that would be best for beginner bloggers like me. I found this, Blogger / Blogspot where everything is so basic. I will not have a hard time learning what is HTML again and how does it work. Just write what's running on your head and BAM!, there goes your post.

Hopefully, I will be able to keep up with this "Blogging" thing. Next post will also be today!!! yeeepeeee!
